Sleep Out 2024

My Story

Hi,

On a chilly November night, I will be giving up my bed to be sleeping rough for the night, to raise funds and awareness of youth homelessness. You all know the significance of sleep extends far beyond rest - it's a key pillar of our mental, physical and emotional health.

Homelessness is also an issue that my wife has committed to tackle, through both her day job, running a grant-giving charitable trust, but also by sitting on the board of the National Charity, EveryYouth.

EveryYouth, focuses entirely on 16-25 year olds facing homelessness across the UK. Last year 3.9 million children lived in poverty and 136,000 young people faced homelessness, that's 1 young person every 4 minutes - Young people deserve better!

EveryYouth is particularly close to my heart as I fundamentally believe that every young person deserves to have a home and therefore a start in life - so on the night of Thursday November 7th, I will be joining the rest of my family and swapping the Vi-Spring mattress for some cardboard under the stars. Please, please help every penny counts and together we can alleviate youth homelessness.

Thank you and sleep well
